Grogged Jars · 2012
Traditionally slip-cast with conventional plaster moulds, these lidded jars have an addition usually reserved for throwing - grog. Grog is the ground up ceramics of industry, added for strength and texture. Here the grog has been made by hand and coloured, and mixed into the casting slip, which forms a unique surface pattern with each cast.
